Director Events and Training - Sally Brown

Three main areas of focus

• The delivery of Conference 2011 and 2012
• The delivery of a two year rolling programme of training and events that benefit the membership development and supports the Society’s CPD scheme.
• To aid the development of the Society’s website to incorporate on-line services such as an Events Calendar, on-line booking services for training etc.

Sally was successful in gaining her EPS Fellow award in June 2009

Current Day Job and responsibilities

Sally works for Anglian Water Services as the Training and Exercising Coordinator within the Business Continuity and Emergency Response Team and covers the whole of the Anglian region. She has been a key player in all of the company's major incidents since she joined the original Emergency Planning Team back in the year 2000.  

Additional Portfolio

Sally is also part of the team that raises money for the WaterAid Charity within the Anglian Region and has had particular success in managing  the Annual Golf Day. Sally was awarded the President's award by WaterAid in 2007 for outstanding contribution to fundraising.

Personal profile

Sally is married to Andrew and has two daughters Laura 21 and Katie 18

Loves:

Travel, Badminton, Music, fundraising and socialising with friends

Hates:

People without a ‘can do’ attitude

People who drop litter

Motivation for being on the Board:

Sally is keen to help grow the Society both Nationally and Internationally and make the EPS really stand out from the rest. She is also hoping that her Event Management experience gained from working for WaterAid will help her deliver  exciting and inspiring events for the benefit of the members.
