The Emergency Planning Society

Eps Director Of Strategy

Director of Strategy - Fraser Easton

Fraser has been a member since 1983, serving in various Scottish Branch and National offices continuously since 1987. As Vice Chair Strategy he played a lead role in the modernising and restructuring of the Society between 2000 and 2004, culminating in effecting the transition to a Company Limited by Guarantee status in Dec.2004. He served as first Chair of the Board for the following 2.5 years. He is currently Director of Strategy.

As Director of Strategy Fraser is responsible for the continuous monitoring and review of the Societies Business Plan, and for the delivery of Central Office functions to effect delivery of the mission - attain institute status by 2012.
Fraser's priorities for the next 12months is to carry out a thorough review of the current business framework, identify new opportunities to increase revenue streams to maintain and improve services to members, while identifying business threats in this challenging economic climate that we find ourselves in. Growing membership and establishing a training arm in support of our new CPD scheme will feature prominently in this, and close liaison with the Directors of Communication and Membership& Development will be maintained to this end to ensure a joined-up approach.

Personal profile

Fraser is married with a teenage son and lives in Perthshire. The spare time he has left after the 'day job' (Emergency Planning specialist with the Offshore Safety Division of HSE) and the EPS he largely devotes to Burrelton Rovers AFC in his capacity as Sec/Treas and fan.
