The Emergency Planning Society

Regional Branches - East Midlands


The East Midlands Branch covers the six counties of Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire and Rutland. There are a variety of professions within in the membership including local authority, emergency services, industrial employees and the self-employed. The branch arranges 3 to 4 events per year and links our AGM with a workshop or other themed training event. The branch currently has 139 members and a warm welcome is guaranteed for any new ones. Here is the outline of events planned for 2010/11, some dates within specific months are yet to be confirmed:

1. 30 September - Visit to the Health and Safety Laboratories at Buxton.

2. October - Evening Roadshow Membership Upgrade Workshops. More dates to follow.

3. 8 December - CNI-related visit to the new Anglian Water Treatment Plant in Rutland.

4. February 2011 - CNI visit to a BT phone exchange
