Training days are well subscribed to, and on average, are held three times a year, culminating with a combined AGM/Training Day in April of that year.
Members are actively encouraged to suggest the training day subject matter, and of course, any contemporary topical issues that they feel that the branch members should be aware of.

The branch has had a number of "firsts", including the first EPS branch to hold the CBRN awareness seminar in conjunction with the Cabinet Office and a joint training day with the United Kingdom Airlines Emergency Planning Group.
