The EPS(NI) Executive Committee on behalf of the membership would like to say a big thankyou to the BBC NI team, particulary Kieran Morgan and Helen Thompson for hosting the branch AGM on 13th May 2010.
Mark Adair, BBC's Head of Public Policy set the scene and gave members and their guests a warm welcome to the BBC at Blackstaff House. Senior Broadcast Journalist Mervyn Jess and Editor TV News Angelina Fusco provided an excellent insight into news reporting at an incident site and how the news is edited and controlled. Noel McCartney, Media Consultant followed on with a presentation on the BBC's 'Connecting in a Crisis'.
This was followed by an excellent tour of the TV Newsroom along with Radio and TV News studios in Broadcasting House, see photos below.
