Flood & Coast Conference & Exhibition – 20-22 March 2018

Publish Date: 8th December 2017

The EPS is once again supporting the ‘Flood & Coast’ Conference & Exhibition, which will take place on 20-22 March 2018 at the Telford International Centre, Shropshire.

Flood and Coast is a unique event that advances the debate about flood and coastal erosion risk, resilience and response between government bodies and local authorities with business, major infrastructure and asset managers, as well as affected communities.

Convened by the Environment Agency, the event brings together the specialists in the supply chain that deliver technology and solutions to control the increasing risk of flood and rising sea levels around our coasts, and to spread best practice, discuss new ways of working and to deliver excellence in FCRM.

A three-day programme of workshops, presentations and panel sessions will feature over 150 speakers, addressing the key themes of shared ownership and action, building resilience and future challenges and innovation.
The exhibition gives visitors the opportunity to meet with providers of flood and coastal risk management solutions and services and to also attend a series of free seminars on the exhibition floor.

To ensure the event meets the needs of the full FCERM supply chain, the organisers have again appointed an advisory committee – a group of industry leaders representing the wide range of FCRM stakeholder groups, headed up by Clare Dinnis, Deputy Director Strategy Delivery at the Environment Agency.

Clare explains why Flood & Coast has a unique offer:“Flood & Coast offers a single opportunity for individuals and organisations to come together from across so many differing sectors and areas. It’s where they can share ideas, learn about and discuss developments and innovations in flood and coastal erosion risk management. You simply don’t have the opportunity to do that at other times of the year.”
